When you want to create your controls and press the plus sign button on the dashboard, you'll get two options to choose from. Below, you can find a brief description of them.

Which one should you choose?

Choose Program if you want to create a group of controls with different frequencies. This is the old form that lets you mix and match frequencies as you wish.

Choose Process if you are creating a traditional process or controls with the same frequency. We recommend using this type, as it is easier to set up and allows you to better control where it appears on the Dashboard.

Below is an introduction to each process type with a few examples.

Program

They maintain the same structure and are ideal for creating groups of controls where you have mixed frequencies such as daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly controls. Perfect for grouping different type of regulatory controls, where you don't need a full process for every control.

Program can also be used when you have an annual wheel or different things to accomplish during the year.

Process

The process form is primarily designed for processes that span multiple months and take a longer time to finish. The main difference is that the schedule may revolve around the 'T-Date', which allows for better management of longer processes without splitting them in the Year view. This means that if your T-date is in June, the entire process will remain in the June column, regardless of whether it extends into other months.

Perfect for Month End Valuations or Month End Closing. It's now easier than ever to see if June was closed - and show that to your Board of Directors, CEO or other stakeholders.

This ensures that at a glance, you can confirm that your tasks for June are complete.

However, the form is flexible - users can switch to a specific date setup and select the desired date directly from the calendar.
